Chichester Free School (CFS) is a state-funded, all-through school, established in response to real demand within the local area for a greater variety of schools. It is part of Sussex Learning Trust, with the key objective to establish, maintain, manage and develop a broad and balanced education. 4Facilities were selected to design, supply, and install a cooling solution for an existing performance studio at Chichester Free School.
Works were carried out during the summer holidays to avoid pupil disruption. A 20kw Fujitsu condensing unit was lifted using specialist plant, onto the external roof. Inside, access towers were utilised so high-level works were completed safely when installing the air conditioning fan coils, ensuring an optimal temperature would be achieved upon pupils return to education.
